Align Multifamily Network LLC ("Align Multifamily Network," "we," "us," "our") operates alignmultifamily.com and related event registration pages (together, the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site or registering for one of our events, you agree to this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you give us. When you register for an event, request information, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, city and state, and anything you include in a message or form response. If you purchase a program or event ticket, our payment processor collects your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) that tell us which ad or link brought you here.
Information from advertising platforms. If you arrive through an ad, the platform (such as Meta or Google) may share campaign-level information with us. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to register you for events and confirm your attendance; to send event reminders, updates, and logistics; to respond to your questions; to tell you about future events, education, products, and services; to run, measure, and improve our marketing; to operate and improve the Site; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.
3. CALLS, TEXT MESSAGES, AND AI COMMUNICATIONS
If you provide your phone number and consent, we may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS/MMS), and voicemail, including ringless voicemail. Some of these communications are automated. This can include calls or messages using an autodialer, prerecorded or artificial voice messages (including voice generated by artificial intelligence), and text conversations conducted or assisted by artificial intelligence.
Consent is not a condition of registering for an event or making any purchase. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can get help by replying HELP. You can opt out of calls or emails at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf to deliver those messages.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our customer relationship management and messaging platform, email and SMS delivery vendors, payment processors, analytics providers, and advertising platforms; with our professional advisors when needed; with authorities when required by law or to protect our legal rights; and with a successor business if we are ever part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Service providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
5. COOKIES, PIXELS, AND ADVERTISING
We use cookies and tracking pixels, including the Meta Pixel and Google tags, to measure ad performance, understand how visitors use the Site, and show you relevant ads on other platforms (often called retargeting). You can limit this tracking by adjusting your browser's cookie settings, using the ad preference controls inside your Facebook, Instagram, and Google accounts, or using opt-out tools such as those at aboutads.info/choices. If you disable cookies, parts of the Site may not work as intended.
6. YOUR CHOICES AND OPT-OUTS
Email: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Texts: reply STOP to any message. Calls: tell us you no longer want calls, or email [email protected]. Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-marketing messages you request, such as a registration confirmation.
7. YOUR STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, state law (including laws in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others) may give you rights over your personal information. These can include the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to access it or receive a copy, the right to correct it, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information as most of these laws define a sale, though our use of advertising cookies may be treated as "sharing" for targeted advertising in some states, and you may opt out of that as described in Section 5.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by your state's law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where state law allows an appeal of a denied request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
8. DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and as required for legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. CHILDREN
The Site and our events are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Site may link to other websites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
